B is for…

I can’t believe that as of yesterday our little man is now two weeks old! This has been quite an eventful week for Mr. Nolan. We made a last minute decision to head down and visit some relatives for a family reunion/birthday party for my Grandpa who’s turning 80 this year. Nolan did amazing for his first road trip.

Before we left for our trip, we gave Nolan his first bath at home (Mommy got to bathe him this time since Daddy got to give him his first bath at the hospital 🙂 ), all in preparation for his first professional photoshoot by my friend Tara of Sela Photography! We can’t wait to see those pictures 🙂

He’s also starting to have a few stretches where he’s more awake before going to sleep after nursing. It’s pretty fun to see him looking around and soaking it all in. He’s even lifting his head on his own after burping to look around – so strong! I keep telling him to slow down but he doesn’t seem to listen.

When he was first born he was too long for a newborn sleeper and we had to put him in 0-3 month size sleepers (which he was swimming in). Now he’s starting to fill out those sleepers. This Mama is already wanting to hit pause. Luckily he’s still in newborn onesies, but probably not for long.

Some of his favorites this week:

  • Feeding time (what newborn doesn’t love to eat?!)
  • Being swaddled, but be sure his hands are close to his face! That’s his true favorite.
  • Being held and swayed back and forth and walked around (don’t think about bouncing!).

Since he’s now two weeks old, it’s time for the next letter of the alphabet! So… B is for BASEBALL!

Here’s a few more of the outtakes from our mini photoshoot 🙂

That’s all for far for this week! If you missed the first week, feel free to check it out here.
